Ode to Joy is a personal act inspired by the artist himself, exploring themes of play vs tasks, time and surprise – using the techniques of juggling, magic and object manipulation.
This self portrait is a gateway into the mind of a man who struggles to make it from point A to point B, without his inner child distracting him from life’s responsibilities.
We can imagine there are not so many people out there who actually enjoy packing their suitcase, especially with all the obstacles and distractions you need to push out of the way. This character tries to encourage you to find the fun and creativity in the simplest of daily tasks and that you can find play in almost anything you do.
You do not need to be an adult every second of the day. Do not let your inner child be a stranger.
